Come and Join Us
Did you know that singing is one of the most beneficial activities for you?
An Australian study concluded:-
"Singing has physical benefits because it is an aerobic activity which increases oxygenation in the blood stream and exercises major muscle groups in the upper body, even when sitting."
The Highfield is pleased to welcome any new members. If you are not sure if your voice is good enough, why not come along to one of our rehearsals and speak to us. You can sit in one of the rehearsals and see if it is for you.
If you decide to give it a try we will help you to understand which part of the choir you should sing in. You would then sit alongside the more experienced members in your first few rehearsals until you are comfortable with the ways of the choir.
Although there are a number of members of the choir who can sight read music, this is not the norm.
So don't put it off any longer. You can contact us by email, phone or just turning up to a rehearsal. These are every Tuesday and Friday between 7.30 and 9.00 pm at Trinity Methodist Church in Runcorn.

A typical rehearsal at Trinity Methodist Church in Halton - just opposite the British Legion. The basses are on the nearside with the tenors on the far side. Nigel, our Director of Music, is shown taking the choir through a new piece of music.
